About Tim

I’ve been working with computers for over 20 years. To clarify, I don’t just mean things that go on your lap or under a desk, but distributed enterprise platforms and large business-critical systems. I teach Cloud Computing at A Cloud Guru. Previously I ran the Google Cloud Practice of a European consultancy firm where we won Breakthrough Partner of the Year.

Check out my GKE course here:

I’m also co-organiser of Bristol’s official Google Developer Group, and speak regularly about Kubernetes and cloud-native development. You can find out more about our group and see upcoming events at the GDG Bristol website.

What else? A long time ago I took the One Game a Month challenge for a year. If you can get them to run, you can play a handful of my games here.

I aim to post stuff to this blog that you might find useful if you are learning to use Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, GKE or just generally developing applications for the web. I’ve stop posting to Medium so they don’t abuse your browser with trackers or inadvertently ask you to pay money for something I’m trying to put out there for free.

If you like really like my posts and have a bunch of disposable income, then by all means buy me a coffee 😊

If you’d like to know when I post new stuff you can use the RSS Feed or follow me on Twitter. You can also contact me via Twitter or LinkedIn (nice messages only please).
